Online dating is hard enough as it is. That’s why I’m going to help you out by providing some in-depth reviews of the most popular dating sites out there. And today I’ll be doing a comprehensive review of Bumble. But if you are looking for the most simplified version of everything, you can click here for my top dating site recommendations.
Bumble is a dating app that has become increasingly popular. And unlike other dating apps, this one is focused on shifting power to the women, who are required to send the first message in the case of matching with the opposite sex.
Payment Structure: Freemium
It doesn’t cost a thing to use Bumble and its basic features! And you don’t necessarily have to pay in order to find success with the platform. But if you would like to spoil yourself with extra special features such as SuperSwipes, you can always choose to pay a bit extra.
Ease of Setting up an Account: Easy
Once you download the app, Bumble will walk you through the entire process of setting up a profile. Not much is even required on your end for this – a few photos and a few words about yourself will suffice!
This is one of the easiest dating platforms to use! The design is clean. The navigation is intuitive. And it’s just an all-around easy app to get used to.
Quality of Profiles: Medium – High
The quality of the people on Bumble is super high. The quality of the actual profiles can be a bit hit or miss. It seems that half of the users don’t write anything at all, while the other half have crafted some really fun and interesting bios for themselves.
Number of Members: Medium – High
Tough one. In comparison to Tinder, Bumble is still behind. But people often love a change, especially when it involves female empowerment. A large mass of people have made the leap to using Bumble (although honestly, most of them are still on Tinder as well).
A Few Additional Pros:
Bumble isn’t just for dating anymore! Between Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz, the platform remains as flexible as the human condition. Whether you are looking for a bestie, a bae, or casual networking opportunities, the app has your connection needs covered.
A Few Cons:
While Bumble is like a giant hug for the women out there, the men are often times left feeling confused and helpless. It isn’t easy knowing that you have mutual attraction with someone, yet not being able to say “hello”. This is especially rough on the guys who enjoy making the first move. But it’s all a matter of preference. If it’s not their cup of tea, you’ll probably find them on Tinder.
Overall Rating (1-10): 7
While the app itself is a wonderful concept, the fact that half of its users (ahem men) can feel a bit left in the dark is holding me back from scoring it wonderfully high. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say about the app. And once the user base grows even more, the score might just go up a little bit!
